Background

Sticks and Stones builds on the experience and knowledge that we have accumulated through working with children and young people for over sixteen years.

In response to more challenging times the company restructured in 2005 and led by Patricia Kennedy launched as Sticks and Stones: Anti-bullying Drama Workshops.

Patricia joined The Sticks and Stones Theatre Company in 1998. A professional actor, she has trained in facilitation, leadership and group work skills and has extensive experience of working with children and young people across a broad spectrum of areas.

She has designed and delivered training programmes in the areas of Diversity Training, Team Building, and Presentation Skills for several NGO's, community groups and individual professionals.

A team of facilitators assist in delivering the programme during school term. Our facilitators were recruited following a rigorous selection procedure. All team members come from a drama background and have, or are working towards relevant postgraduate qualifications. With extensive knowledge of Theatre in Education, and in the areas of facilitation/groupwork they bring to the organisation wide-ranging experience of working creatively with groups to address issues and resolve conflict.
